About West Loop
In the past ten years, the West Loop has exploded into a vibrant, growing and exciting community. The neighborhood is comprised mainly of former factories and warehouses that have been converted into both office and retail space and loft apartments and condominiums.
The eastern border of the West Loop along Halsted Street houses the famous Greektown, where scores of Greek Restaurants serve Greek fare at very affordable prices. The West Loop is also home to other elegant dining establishments and some of the very best nightclubs in Chicago.
The allure of the West Loop is its affordability and its close proximity to the Loop, although in the past few years, prices have been steadily rising. Residents are able to leave their stunning lofts and walk the few short blocks to their jobs in the Loop. Similarly, many businesses have relocated to the West Loop due to the price differential, the unique floor plans, and the mesmerizing views of the Chicago skyline. The West Loop continues to be an inviting place to live, work, and play.
